Uses: Furniture, cabinet work, internal/external joinery, doors, windows,
conservatories and construction. A class one hardwood.
Comments: Traditionally one of the better Class 1 hardwoods. A durable,
hardwood of uniform red colour. Reported to machine better than other
African redwoods. Many of our joinery customers have switched to Utile
from Brazilian Mahogany.
Stocked thickness 1”, 1 ¼”, 1 ½”, 2”, 2 ½”, 3” & 4” Wider (10”+) boards are available to order. (Usually within 3 working days).
